Work directly with Mike Cobus
Enlighten Studios is an owner-operated design and development studio in Waukesha, Wisconsin. We plan, design, host, and improve websites for local businesses that need to look credible online and show up when someone nearby searches for what they sell.
Designer Mike Cobus leads the work. You can discuss your goals, review the design, and ask questions directly with the person building your site. The studio’s experience includes business websites, WordPress and WooCommerce, Shopify, payment integrations, hosting, and on-site SEO.

How we work
We start with what you sell, who you serve, and what visitors need to do next. That guides the page structure, design, copy, and contact flow. We also review the mobile experience, hosting, and search setup so the website is ready for day-to-day use after launch.
We choose the website tools around your content, store, and maintenance needs. Our work includes WordPress and WooCommerce sites, Shopify storefronts, and Square or PayPal integrations. Existing sites can be reviewed before a rebuild or platform change is recommended.
Who we build for
Retail, service, and eCommerce owners in Waukesha County, Milwaukee, and the surrounding towns. Recent and long-running work includes The Green Design Center (eCommerce and consulting), Midwest LVP, Cannabloom Farmacy, PACE-PAK, Porch Pros, and Milwaukee Area Carpet Cleaning.
The focus is practical business websites: clear services or products, straightforward contact paths, and ongoing care as your business changes.
Website tools and ongoing care
WordPress, WooCommerce, Shopify, Square, PayPal, Rank Math, Google Analytics, Let’s Encrypt SSL, Plesk, and WPMU Dev tooling when a site needs it. Custom PC and laptop builds are still available for studios and shops that want hardware specced to match the work, not a retail box.

About the studio
Is Enlighten Studios a local company?
Yes. We are based in Waukesha, Wisconsin, and most projects are for businesses in Waukesha, Milwaukee, and southeast Wisconsin. Website, store, and hosting work can also be done remotely.
Who will I work with?
You work directly with Mike at Enlighten Studios, from planning the website through launch and ongoing support.
Do you only design new sites?
No. We redesign, repair, and take over WordPress and store sites that are already live, and we can move hosting with backups and SSL included in the agreed hosting plan.
